A “Wants” based consumption vs. A “Needs” based consumption

Both are voluntary. That's nice. It doesn't matter whether it's a "need or a "want", the free market engine drives supply and demand in voluntary cooperation between buyers and sellers, and producers and consumers.

Vs. government-coerced command and control consumption. Leads to Russian/Chinese-style shortages every time.

In principle it’s not my business either way.

My 75 years have been based on needs and you can take your green and being nice and conservation and shove it up your back side!
