Reminds me of the USAF pilots we knew, who were stationed in the M.E....and they had to make routine flights from base to Beirut...Karachi....South America...wherever.
They would always ask B4 they left, if we wanted to *change money* [for a much better rate than you could get on base].....and if it was a SA flight...they'd bring back snakes. I'd laugh to see their flight pants [w/ dozens of zippered pockets], wriggling and squirming. They seemed to do it just b/c they could and get away w/it..

About 30 years ago,while waiting for my flight,I saw a goat in the Cairo Airport waiting area.That was a first for me!

I was on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Izmir..and a goat was on the lap of a passenger during the whole flight.
Not uncommon with public transportation to have sheep, goats sitting on laps or tied to top of a bus. Most of the transportation has no air conditioning. Without the personal hygiene we westerners are accustomed to, it was nauseating. Hold my chickens while I tie my shoe please.
