I built the equipment and did the setups for running mass manufacturing of pultruded fiberglass hollow planks which were then filled with cleaned shredded tire rubber, and these planks were built into panels for sound suppression for CALTRANS. They are now along the freeways in California, I built the original equipment.
But I spent 10 months working with a vertical mill and other machine shop equipment getting the design bugs out on the concept, I actually drew most of the plans on bar napkins, this was back in 1994.

I was trained on a Bridgeport and a Tree as well as bench and engine lathes.

I thoroughly enjoyed machining, but I allowed other interests to take me away at too young of an age. Joined the Army and a boatload of etcetera's

Old too soon get we .. shmaht too late.
