No, it even weirder than that. Tebow brings bad mojo for the starting QB of whatever team he’s on. It’s really insane. Why can’t one perennial basement dwelling team just give him a shot?

Bad mojo as in exposing the current starters as piss poor leaders next to him? Yeah, I can see that.

Based on interviews I've read of his former UF teammates who now play in the NFL, they've said they believe he should be a starting QB in the NFL.

If I remember correctly, Denver's OL last year allowed Tebow to be sacked something like 3 times per game. Tebow also never could get run consistency last year. Yes, sometimes he popped a 20 yarder but so many more times he was lucky to get a yard... on 3rd down when they needed 2. Then there was the relatively high number of dropped passes by Denver receivers.

Tebow's pass completion percentage could have been better at Denver but it wasn't alarming. It's not as if he was throwing wildly resulting in a high pick percentage. He seemed to be intentionally throwing too far ahead of receivers in order to avoid being picked off. That wasn't a bad thing in that over another season or two he could steadily bring the balls in closer to his receivers as he gained confidence.

This year, in the first five games of regular season, the same Denver OL allowed Peyton Manning to be sacked 3 times per game and the result was a 2-3 record with fans beginning to murmur about the wisdom of bringing in Manning.

Since Denver's 2-3 start this season, some adjustment was made with the Broncos' OL whereby Manning has been given much better protection (I think they subsequently had a 5 game win streak with only 1 sack total)and Manning has been able to play like the Manning of the Colts.

I don't know what has been going on in Jets practices but from the few games I've seen in which Tebow took snaps this season, there has never been much in the way of rushing opportunity for him. As at Denver, he has receivers with hard hands but the total number of pass attempts has been too low to measure any QB's performance.
