When a person brings in a particularly fascinating item — say, a 1750s blunderbuss from an owner who wants to trade the firearm for an engagement ring — the customer might be asked to return so the crew can properly capture the scene.”

One of my co-workers was there while they were shooting one these “staged” buys. He was an aspiring extra (I guess there really is such a critter) from CA playing the part of the Sea Hag who was in earlier to sell the item but she was even to fugly for this show.
Shows like these have spread like a bad rash all over tee vee. One of the many reasons I got rid of cable.
