In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
apopemptic \ap-uh-PEMP-tik\, adjective
1. Pertaining to leave-taking or departing; valedictory.
noun:
1. Obsolete. A farewell address; valedictory.

Etymology:
Rising to prominence in the middle 1700s, apopemptic derives from the Greek apopemptikós, pertaining to 'sending away.'
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

No pushing at the door please!
His son’s family is episcopal, Robt told xsbaby that his grandmother gives him a rosary every Christmas and is always attempting to convert him, LOL.
I think you are right, he has been in ill health for some time, it’s likely he would have had to retire awhile back.
it’s funny, xsboy told me last night that he saw that judge bork was trending on twitter yesterday. he noticed how all the libs were REVELING in his death, and asked why did they hate him so much, so we had to fill him.
and btw, xshub got an email from Cheaperthandirt last night saying they were resuming sales of guns. They claimed that because of the recent deluge of gun sales that they were not able to keep to their shipping within 24 hours pledge and so they stopped taking orders temporarily to reassess that pledge etc. Smells like BS to me, but they are back in biz.
Don’t tell the GM that there are Anglican rosaries out there too!
copycatters!
Technically, I think the term would be "splitters"
#$%$#ing Judean Peoples Front. Splitters!
That’s good to hear. Probably they had a bit of an awakening.
Don’t let Martin Luther’s ghost hear you or he’ll hammer something onto YOUR door! ROR!
Here’s some local dumb criminals. This story doesn’t mention it, but on the news they said they also had the exploding dye pack given to them.
‘Til “O” slithers off, apopemptic
I’ll continue to feel apoplectic
Filled with anger and rage
That the American Age
Has been fast-tracked towards apocalyptic
I’d be in a nuthaas now had I found such a thing.
When trying to unplug people, ‘tis better to be sitting on the toilet BEFORE taking a fast-acting apopemetic medicine ....
