Just watched O'Reilly interview the parents of Jon Hammar, the Marine, detained in Mexico for a bogus gun charge.
O'Reilly says he's going to give Obama and the State Department 3 days to get this done.
Otherwise he says there will be "hell to pay"
Not my experience. Emails do nothing. Calls get their attention. Congress has the power to get the Marine released. Cut all funding to Mexico and he’ll be home tomorrow. Keep Mexican commerce out of America and he’ll be home yesterday. O’Reilly has none of this power.
The story I heard was that it was his grandfather’s antique shotgun and he checked with the US Border Patrol on our side of the border before he crossed. They assured him it was OK.
It really sticks in my craw that we have millions of illegal Mexicans breaking our laws in plain view everyday and the Mexican government treats ONE GUY like this.

Yep. Our ‘conservative’ media is pathetic, but we can give kudos for what little they get right while we push hard for something better.

Yea, he’s going to equip himself with a AK-15 and do something series.
Well, I could’ve said, “You’d think 0bama thought this Marine was an Ambassador or something..”
He declared his gun at the border and got permission to take it in and hundreds of Americans have done so for decades to hunt in Mexico.
O’Reilly opposed tax increases and more spending. So did I. His audience of millions presumably did as well. And it didn’t mean crap because taxes are going up and so is spending. So in that regard O’Reilly and I have exactly the same amount of power. None.
We’ll just have to disagree to disagree.
I have seen no reports that state that Mexican authorities gave him permission to transport his gun into Mexico.
