Those are tanned hide prices, but still a lot has changed since I was a Trapper ... (Dried, not Tanned Prices) Skunk was avg $3.40, Otter avg $60.00, Beaver $30.00 to $65.00 (lot of size and quality variations in Beaver), Muskrat avg $1.50, Nutria avg $1.75, Raccoon avg $3.75, couldn’t even sell a Coyote (only skinned one, took me an hour and I can do a Muskrat in 15 seconds, Beaver in about 10 minutes) hell even a Possum was worth $.75 (to them/ not to me they are a pain to dry)... did get a Mountain Lion once but kept it. Lost a Wolverine but was really impressed by the damage that feller did gettin away.
Our Bread and Butter Trapping was Muskrat, Nutria and Beaver because they were easy easy easy and there were lots of them.

Oh yeah and Mink $3.00 to $6.00, White or Tan Weasels avg $1.25 and they were the absolute easiest to trap, skin and dry (only thing needed was a coat hanger to dry them) ... didn’t even need to set a trap, just a pipe set in the ground with about 6” of water in the bottom cause them fellers go down every hole they find (specially with a little muskrat scent) and drown when they can’t back out ... but if they aren’t drowned you earn your money sticking your arm down there to retrieve them.
