I have no doubt there is plent of garbage left behind on everest, but did you zoom all the way in on the encampment? The resolution is amazing, and there are people. Maybe not “hundreds”, but probably at least 75. And that’s just the ones standing outside the tents.
Are you able to use the controls (I think they are Java.) If not, load the latest version of Java and check it out. You’re not going to be able to pick out a friend, but if his tent has a Canadian flag on it, I saw it. When I zoom in, the people are not quite a half inch tall on my 22” monitor - big enough to tell they are people and to tell if they are standing, sitting, or kneeling.

I could save about 5-7 of those picture files on my laptop... and nothing else.

At first glance I thought those tents were pieces of trash. Amazing photo.
