Freepers,
Here are my e-mails to Warner of VA and Machin of WV along with the links to there comment pages
..as you know both campaigned on pro-2nd amendment platforms and are NRA A rated
.and now are obvious weasels.
To these spineless apostates and others in the next few days....do what you can to remind them of history and that we live in a Republic, not a mobacracy.

Good news on the Manchin front. He got SAVAGED on the main statewide talk radio show last night by hosts that normally support him. This morning he was madly backtracking and saying he never said that he supported the Assault Weapons Ban, and meant to say he only supports toughing laws that would keep guns out of the hands of mentally disturbed blah...blah...blah... It remains to be seen if this is just for “hometown” consumption. But I think he may have realized that this isn't 1940 where a politician can be pro-gun at home and anti-gun in the senate and the voters will never find out...

As a native born West Virginian I don’t think Manchin will stand a chance of being re-elected. I still have many cousins that live there. A few, around Beckley, I had never heard utter the word “Republican” unless prefaced by the words “God damnned”. That changed after Clinton. Two things changed West Virginia’s presidential voting habits: Guns and coal.

The federal gun free school zone law needs to be amended to allow school staff CCW and others who have state CCW. I din’t like the idea of a federal CCW. Maybe it’s time for that, not to override state CCW laws but as a supplement to provide individuals with CCW the ability to defend themselves anywhere in the US including Washington.

E-mails are good, but paper letters are better. Hand-written paper letters are best. Our elected representatives count a hand-written letter worth hundreds or even thousands of e-mails, because the time required to prepare such a letter is a gauge of how motivated you really are to get his attention.

This thread has just added to the
FreeRepublic "bang list" (firearms interest list) by adding the keyword "banglist".
Any time a firearms-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "banglist" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it. Just a suggestion.
