Yes, indeed. He takes very good care of her. There were 13 couples who married other members of our HS class. I think that we are the last 2 couples left, and now her mind is going. The other 3 of us are just going to have to do all the remembering for her. It's very sad.
i know several married couples who have been together since HS. that is just inconceivable to me. i was such a different person by the time i graduated college, moved from Pittsburgh and was working and independent. i know not everyone agrees, but i am a firm believer in being independent and fully developed as a person before marriage.
i’m also pretty adamant in telling my girls that quitting your job after marriage is not a great idea. as i like to say— husbands die, lose their jobs, or cheat/leave you. It is a matter of self preservation, IMO, to maintain a toehold in the workforce. i fully support those who stay home to take care of their kids, but as soon as they are in school, i think it’s good to get back to doing SOMETHING in the workforce, so you don’t have a 20 year unemployment gap on your resume.
