So ... you have no reason to defend the NRA's rather poorly reasoned decision to endorse him. He simply DID NOT deserve an A+ rating, DID NOT deserve a glowing endorsement, and John Raese DID NOT deserve to be ignored.
An "A" rating for both candidates, and a "no endorsement: they both look good" would have been a better, wiser, more honest decision by the NRA.
IMO, the NRA saw an opportunity for a cheap "win", by falling all over and kissing the arse of a 'Rat politician who was rather likely to win anyway. Problem is, by doing so they tarnished their name, tarnished their endorsements, offended pro-gun folks in WV ... and gained nothing.
