I have no idea what cilantro or culantro tastes like. Wouldn’t know it if it bit me on my ass.

Cilantro doesn’t grow where you are? It is an annual which grows best in cool weather, so only March till June and late September till frost (about mid November) here.

You might have had cilantro in Mexico, looks like parsley. I’ve heard it referred to as Chinese parsley. Both Thai and Mexican foods are usually rife with it. It’s strongly flavored so many people love or hate it. There’s no picking it out if its in there believe me.
