I’m sure everyone loves Jim Croce, except for xs. I have one of his LPs at home.
I have most of his work on CD. But my son in law (raised in Philly) has a recording of everything he ever wrote. The early stuff is not so good. But, once he developed his particular sound, everything he wrote was catchy and memorable. I think that he was one of the best lyricists and tune and rythm meisters in the business. I often wonder where he’d be if he had lived longer. One of my favorites:

He stole songs. Or so I was told by my roommate’s BF in college. He was a guitarist and knew someone who knew someone, etc.
