I was once behind a woman in line at the Safeway who had two cell phone conversations going at the same time, and as far as I could tell, neither rapid-paced conversation was about anything. She had one phone pinned between her shoulder and ear and the second phone she held clamped to her remaining ear. With her one free hand she was dragging a small child who was grabbing at and pulling down anything he could reach. Whatever it was afflicting her, you could clearly see it descending the generations to her offspring.
