I am 83 years old, I go back to the Roosevelt, Era, I can say without any qualms that I am glad to be this old. I can remember, when people's word amounted to something.The majority of politicians really cared about their constituents. The sermon on Sunday would be from the Bible and have some meaning about leading a better life.The churches were not involved in same sex marriages. When you got up in the morning, it was the beginning of another beautiful experience, Mom was in the kitchen fixing Breakfast Dad was at work. Now the whole world is a mess/ Nothing has any meaning anymore, and I am ready and looking forward to moving on. The lying cheating untrustworthy people can have the world. They made this mess let them live in it.

I understand. I used to bemoan that I would be so “old” in the year 2000 and wished I’d been born later. But given our present dire situation, I’m glad I’m not all that long for this world.
