The 2012-13 bowl season starts in Albuquerque, N.M., and ends in Miami. Here's a look at the schedule from the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 15 to the Discover BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7 in Miami's Sun Life Stadium.

Well maybe with the exception of figure skating and gymnastics.
Didn’t Northern Illinois lose to Kentucky? My beef with this system is teams in the top 10 of the BCS don’t get to go to a BCS bowl because only 2 teams from one conference can go.
I am an OU fan genius, went there and sat next to Billy Sims in History class, well his seat anyways he wasn’t there much. Still we need a playoff.
Oooh I forgot, FSU are the champs of the mighty ACC.
Point taken... :) I hope I implied the organized team sports: baseball, basketball, volleyball, softball, Div 2 football, high school football for that matter...
I sometimes wonder how folks like you miss the FACT that, for instance, the SEC has a playoff which then sends the best SEC team to the bowl schedules (along with two or three of the top SEC teams who didn’t win the playoff).
And Northern Illinois is the champ of....what?
Fer criss sake. Northern Illinois lost to Kentucky. By 33 or some such. I’m not sure. Did Kentucky beat anyone else?
A repeat of what? Clemson has only played LSU twice in it's 116 year history, once in 1959 and the last in 1996.
Unfortunately the SEC can only send two teams to BCS games, in reality, they could have sent six if there were no limits (Bama, UF, UGA, LSU, SCar and A&M)
And I would dare say even Vandy is better than a few of the teams.
I would love to see Ohio State play Georgia or even A&M or Florida now. BTW, what put OSU on probation?
How is LSU/Clemson a repeat?
I could care less what the SEC does it is all the others. Point being, had Kent State won they would have possibly gone to a bowl over a much better range of teams. NIU really? If every conference would do it and forward their best 2-4 teams, ok. That will do away with a lot of out of conference rivalries but too bad. Until then I watch the games I watch for enjoyment and put no stock in a number 1 ranking. It is meaningless.
It would also prevent stacking from one conference. Would pro football be ok if all the team in the play-off be from one division example NFC east of AFC north? You either win or runner up in your conference or don’t go. If you don’t like it or you have too many teams go to another conference or independent. Allow only 4 or less independent teams into bracket (dependent on bracket size).
The MAC, which is probably pretty level with the ACC in terms of football.
Yeah, my mistake I was thinking of LSU vs. Oregon, or even vs. West Va.
Bama’s gonna beat Notre Dame, mark it down. Not to disrespect Notre Dame. They are well coached but they are too one-demesional on offence and a few athletes short on defense. Their time may come but it’s not now..
There are several teams that I think Bama would have more trouble winning another championship against than Notre Dame. One being Georgia. Oregon. Florida. South Carolina. Texas A@M.
But, I’m sure it’s going to be a good game. I hope not but it prolly will. I don’t know that my heart can take another one like Sat night!
I expect it to be fairly low-scoring.....Bama doesn’t quite have the game-breakers on offense they’ve had over the past few years.....I think ND can slow down their running game. But I don’t know if ND will be able to score that much on Bama’s defense, even though they showed some vulnerabilities against UGA.....I predict 16-10, Bama.
“How is LSU/Clemson a repeat?”
Hell, it is a repeat of that 1996 game, silly!
(don’t stop him. He’s on a roll)
Alabama will be fighting Notre Dame and at least one crooked official working to throw the game ... follow the money.
Ohio State coach Jim Tressel lied and allowed ineligible players to compete by failing to report that they had sold OSU-issued memorabilia to a tattoo-parlor owner. Classy.
This was a stupid violation of stupid rules.
That sounds pretty close to what I was thinking. But if Bama starts fast and gets some turnovers it could get ugly.
