And Obama’s lies don’t bother or offend you? I do know that Mitt’s dad was very active in civil rights - so maybe he was referring to his dad marching with MLK. I don’t know, because this statement is new to me. I did some research on his dad and he indeed was active in civil rights and marching. Are you sure you have your stories straight?

I happen to think that Newt is also as dishonest as the rest of them. I just happen to think that most if not all politicians are somewhat dishonest.

Mitt wouldn’t embrace the tea party or conservatives, and maybe that rather than voter fraud is what defeated him. So, in any case - we’re stuck with a bigger liar in the WH than what you purport Mitt to be.

Nobody is promoting Obama on this thread, but people are promoting Romney’s hard left politics and anti-conservatism, by promoting the man even after he lost an election that could not be lost.

Romney’s father never marched with MLK, yet Mitt told people that for decades, including while he was running for president, Mitt has also claimed that he himself marched with MLK.

Romney’s entire life is a constant barrage of lies, he is driven to lie, he is compulsive about it, for one thing, he was trained in it.

Mitt Romney has a national reputation for lying and being deceitful, he always has, his 20 year political career of campaigning for office has amazed people with his willingness to say what ever fits the moment, or the campaign.

Do you know what Mitt Romney’s abortion position was on election day?

I do know that Mitt’s dad was very active in civil rights - so maybe he was referring to his dad marching with MLK.

In 1978, Mitt Romney told the Boston Globe that he and his father both marched with Martin Luther King, which isn't true. However, the most famous comment is on tape, and Mitt said he 'saw' his father march with MLK.

Although George Romney marched in a large Civil Rights march in Michigan, MLK wasn't there. The Romney campaign essentially conceded the point when the campaign's official 'correct the rumors' page said that Mitt was lying about George Romney 'marching with' MLK, because George Romney's marching in support of Civil Rights constituted marching with MLK.

Another issue is that Mitt was not in Michigan when his father marched. When pressed, Mitt walked back his statement and said that it was only a figure of speech when he said he 'saw his father' march with MLK.
