Yes, SU plays WVU. Pitt is going to the same bowl for the third year in a row.
The Pinstripe Bowl had the rights to the 4th place Big East team (or to pick 4th, anyway). There was talk that they might choose #5 Pitt to get a Backyard Brawl Bowl. There’s a storyline and you know the teams will be up for a contest. No need to manufacture hype.
But the bowl probably thought they’d sell more tickets to a NY team and wanted to stay in their pecking order.
I think it sucks, but it’s their choice.
Kids at xsbaby’s HS do Cotillion, so it’s not restricted to Richmond, it’s a suthren thing i guess. Being from Pittsburgh, i never saw the point of it : )
i love a backyard brawl! i wish it had been Pitt.
and Gonzaga beat Georgetown Prep in hockey on Friday, in a backyard brawl of sorts. that is always good to see, as Prep is a DESPISED opponent.
The purpose is to teach them how to behave like ladies and gentlemen in Jr. High. I don’t know if it works, but it is a nice program. That young lady’s older brother loved the experience and was crushed when he wasn’t chosen to be one of the “older sponsors” when he got to HS. They could choose 8 older boys, and there were 21 applications. So, he is throwing himself into marching band where he is the percussionist extroidinaire. For a shy kid, I would have never predicted it.
The percussion section is on the sideline while the rest of the band is on the field, and he is under the spotlight when they perform. He “dances” when he plays the marimba and has been the “hit” of the football half time show all year. Saturday he played the clashing cymbals as they led the annual Christmas parade. This from the kid who said he’d never march and had to be coerced to join the program. I credit Cotillion for his new found self confidence.
Yes, I like the Care Britt from Costa Rica. My dad still orders it from time to time (he is on their mailing list from one of the trips he and my mom made to Costa Rica). I also like Tres Rios coffee from Costa Rica. It is always good to get some that was obtained fresh there and brought back home.
very nice pic tioga.
Always remember that if you do your Christmas
shopping early, you invariably scurry less as
that holiday approaches.
Yes. Mind Boggling to say the least.
A++++ he wants to go over it.
and i am trying to do just that ; ) A+++
It’s everywhere, and i simply cannot bear to listen to it. A+++
Love the picture-truly charming.
That is beautiful ti -
I have a bid to deliver in a few minutes-I’m not enthused about it-I’m sure the customer is a scammer, but I’ll be polite because I know the value of customer service.
The alarm that is raised again
About a terrible fiscal fall
Is now a panic button to use
To hold the masses in thrall
All the scurrilous rhetoric-
Obama’s minions blowing smoke
Is a call for endless spending
And to them its just a joke
Let them crash and burn this time
Things are already so damn bad-
Leaving the rats stuck in the mud
Is much better than what we had
I’m having 70’s deja vu-I probably listened to too much old heavy rock over the weekend-I’m off to see the bogus customer...
Sad but true and well done
Good, that scurrilous beast is completely polarizing.
