“Because good people refuse to get involved.”
No the problem is government schooling itself. It was always intended to produce compliant, non-independent thinking little secular humanists. Adjusting bus routes won’t solve that problem.
Way to miss the point! the point was my father wanted to make a change in something that he had an interest in so he got involved.
BTW the founding fathers did support public education, so your "universal positive" statement was in error.
Indeed! The very foundation is rotten.
Government schooling's very foundation is a socialist-funded, single-payer, compulsory-use, and godless entitlement. How can that be fixed? It can't.
Actually, I do support conservatives running for school board if their sole purpose is to abolish the government schools.
And...I support Christian teachers working in the government school **if** at absolutely every opportunity they warn their students, the parents, and their neighbors about the evils of socialist, single-payer, and godless schooling. Of course they may be fired before the school year but that would be “doing something”.
By the way.....At their very best government schooling **forced** a generic and lukewarm Protestantism on their captives. They gradually deteriorated until, by the 50s and 60s they were merely nodding on occasion in the direction of God.
What does Christ do with the lukewarm? He spits them out of His mouth!
Is there any example of Christ using the threat of armed Roman guard action to herd captive children into buildings so His message could be **forced** upon them? No.
A religiously neutral education is impossible and government schools **always** have, are now, and always will, be using tax funds ( collected under the threat of force) to promote the religious worldview of the most politically powerful ( today, godlessness).
