“I have met Republicans who believe whatever ... Rush is saying, which turns me off too.”
Odd. I find that Rush agrees with what I am already thinking, rather than my agreeing with what he is saying.
Not at all. Rush creates an imaginary world that his listeners WANT to live in. Its is a world that does not exist. He used to be more regularly funny but the past 10 years he has become more and more dark, depressing and fatalistic.
Maddow does the same thing for Dems.(less negative for Dems though)
Also Rush makes more $$$ (more 24-7 listeners) when Dems are in power than when Rs are although he obviously doesn't want to pay more taxes.. This is a conflict as risk with Dems.

I almost forgot this one :
We Could See a McCain Landslide (Rushlimbaugh.com, August 12, 2008)
The enthusiasm that got people out in 2010, I'm seeing at every Mitt Romney rally. Romney's drawing crowds of 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 15,000. The enthusiasm that we all saw in 2010 is there. The same issues that existed in 2010 exist today. There hasn't been anything that's gotten better.
Rush: Everything But Polls Say Romney Landslide (Newmake Monday, 05 Nov 2012)
Don't Doubt me LOL
Here's a good one because Republicans got crushed a year ago by O by looking like they oppose middle class tax cuts in defense of the rich tax cuts, and they seem to want to repeat that now.
But where was Rush on this?
Rush December 21, 2011 on FICA payroll tax cut standoff:
The House Republicans, the freshmen, the Tea Party conservatives, the other conservatives in the House are holding firm on this on principle. Even some in the media are saying the House Republicans are acting on principal, not politics. Everybody else is looking at this through the optics. And as I mentioned in the first hour the Wall Street Journal has an editorial that just excoriates the Republicans in the House and essentially accuses them of losing the tax issue to Obama and guaranteeing that Obama is gonna end up being the king tax cutter in an election year.
Now, if they want to stop it, Wall Street Journal, Republicans, if they want to stop this, explain whats really going on here. Explain that this isnt a tax cut. Since when did Social Security taxes, when were they actually called tax increases? These are contributions. These are actual deductions from your pay that end coming back to you this is how its always been sold in your retirement years, in your golden years. Theoretically its your money. All were doing is defunding the only mechanism that funds Social Security. If they want to stop this, then just explain that this is draining money from Social Security without any of the necessary reforms. Throw it right back on Obama and what hes doing here. The worst possible position is the one supported by the Senate, Obama, and the Wall Street Journal.
