My son has had the flu too. He's working in Angola and, just like a man, didn't take any over-the-counter meds with him. Here he was going to a country where there are no Walgreens down the street and he doesn't even take aspirin with him. Can you believe it? NO woman would ever do that. So, he had a fever and no way to treat it. Went to the doctor at the base camp and got diagnosed and left with some real meds. Which is probably better anyway. He says he is feeling better. So thankful it was just the flu and not malaria. That is what everyone fears in that part of the world.
I just came over to check my computer and found this outstanding display of flowers and apples. It is gorgeous, Lori! Thank you so much! You are just so fancy with the little card attached.
Your son sounds like one of my sons. I tell him 2 things he should always have in his house is aspirin and Pepto-Bismol! But guess what, he won’t mind me....LOL! He’s the one who has been divorced quite a few years and men just don’t take care of these things like women do. Aspirin is good for many things and if a stomach ache comes along, the first thing to have is Pepto!!
I’m glad your son had a place to go to get medicine. By the way, what is he doing in Angola? I would worry to death with malaria lurking. How long will he be there anyway? Hope he’ll be coming home soon.
Thanks again so much for the beautiful bouquet of flowers and fruit!! That would make the sickest feel better!!
