LOL! My mathematical genius son had the same reaction when I told him I was reading “Life of Pi”. He said, “you’re reading a math book, Mom? Really?” My reply, “Sure Dave, me, your mathematically challenged mom, is going to read a math book”. I guess he thought maybe there was hope for me after all.....but, no, not in this lifetime. LOL!

There actually was an Indy Film called simply “Pi”, and it was about a geeky genius who figured out the mathematical terminus of that allegedly infinite number.

He ended up being chased by mobsters who thought he could break the casinos with this info, by international terrorists with similar aims, by Scary Businessmen, and by fanatical Jewish Scholars who thought he had figured out G-d’s Secret Name.

It was a VERY weird movie, and probably not nearly as edifying as “The Life of Pi”.
