My son drove me to the Verizon store last night to insist I upgrade to the Droid 4. He has had a Droid for a few years now, has recently upgraded to the Droid Razr HD, and was tired of me always wanting to look something up on his phone while we were out and about. I have also “borrowed” his Nexus, pretty permanently.

I determined years ago I wouldn’t get involved in the Apple hype. I like my PCs, and I have enjoyed the Droid line of products.

We just bought a round of “Nexus-7” tablets for the family. At $250/unit it’s a bargain!

I prefer the Iphone for one reason. It isn’t laggy , crappy software.

Features/Smeachers-— take it from someone who knows about code; Andriod is crapware.

Ever notice no matter how powerful the hardware running andriod gets, or no matter how many cores they add (phone or tablet), it is always still choppy and laggy, it’s almost like bricks in motion.

Until they get that figured out, which I don’t think they ever will based on the way it is coded, I won’t touch Andriod. Paying all that money for a laggy experience doesn’t do it for me. When I touch something I want it to register right away, when I touch type, I don’t want the letters appears in groups 2 seconds after I actually touched the key.

I’m not apple fanboy either. I build my own super PCs, but for phones, it is no contest.

Everything google makes is total crap and half-baked. Ever notice most of their “services” never make it out of beta label and/or get abandoned?
