following the election day victory in CT-89
Three weeks hence, the energy and urgency faded
a shot of nothingness with morning coffee
the broken auto, a wire coat hanger gets it on the road
a simple thing, but it brings hope to my world
what will others think, I abandon teaparty forces
never again to engage in the fight!
when I hear the drums and the sound of bugle calls
I will putter at home with a new vocation
as Pat foretold the Storm that is coming
on that fateful day
for freedom and liberty, I will not fight
