FULL TITLE: Gay men and their moms sue Jewish conversion therapy center that promised to turn them straight - and failed
A group of gay men and their moms are suing a Jewish therapy center in New Jersey that claims to turn homosexuals straight.
The lawsuit charges that the center, Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing (JONAH), is guilty of consumer fraud for failing to quell the homosexual urges of its clients, as it had promised.
Arthur Goldberg, JONAH's co-director, and Alan Downing, a 'life coach' who counsels therapy sessions, were also named in the suit. Goldberg did not return MailOnline's phone calls on Tuesday and the center provided no contact information for Downing.
The therapy sessions, which cost up to $100 weekly, sometimes involved clients and counselors undressing in front of each other, according to the lawsuit.

what were those?
Maybe a money back guarantee would be good?
I suspect a hoax ~ gays and their mothers?
lol.
Sounds nuts. How was that supposed to help?
I have to wonder if they are gay because of their mothers.
You got me on that one.
A little litigious maybe ?
Also, these might also be Orthodox Jews who are targeted. The Left hates them most of all because of their political Conservatism and opposition to homosexuality and abortion.

I don’t know anything about it.
Any Jewish FReepers here who can tell us about “JONAH”?
So he's saying he WASN'T born that way?????
But....but....but...I thought........
I think the other thread did say one of the complaints was that one of the patients hasn’t been able to ‘have a relationship with another man’ for a year.
The stuff they are claiming that the treatments consisted of is truly weird creepy goings-on anyhow.

November 29, 2012, (Family Research Council) With its credibility drying up, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is determined to cement its status as the homosexual movements greatest ally. Desperate to regain its status in the civil rights debate, the group is following the money to the gay community, where it hopes the partnership will help SPLC regain some of the legitimacy it lost bullying mainstream conservatives. Their latest attempt to claw their way back into the spotlight is a lawsuit aimed at destroying the ex-gay movement.
This week, SPLC announced that it is suing a Jewish organization called JONAH (Jews Offering New Alternatives of Healing) for consumer fraud. They allege that the therapy, which is designed to bring homosexuals out of bondage and into healthy behavior, failed.
... SPLC and friends are frantically trying to shut down therapy like this because it disproves their entire argument that homosexuality like race is innate and thus, healthy and normal. If men and women with same-sex attractions can be freed, it destroys the Lefts foundational concept that gay rights are civil rights. ...
The left-leaning American Psychological Association (APA) says there is no sufficiently scientifically sound evidence that sexual orientation can be changed.
But the APA isnt claiming that theres no evidence change is possible only that the evidence out there is not sufficiently scientifically sound. In other words, it doesnt meet all the criteria for gold standard social science research: random samples, a prospective and longitudinal design, and use of a control group.
Of course, a lot of pro-homosexual social science research doesnt meet those standards. And even when studies do meet that criteria (like Mark Regneruss recent (2012) homosexual parenting study), the Left races to discredit them.
More and better research would be great but the same people who say the research is inadequate also adamantly oppose doing more studies on the topic.
In this lawsuit, SPLC also strongly suggests that reorientation therapy is not only ineffective, but harmful. Whats their evidence for that? Well, its entirely anecdotal the same kind of evidence they refuse to accept with regard to the effectiveness of the therapy.
The SPLC is a heterophobic hate group.
That is the idea, isn't it? Men are supposed to have relationships with women -- not other men! Men having sex with men is a deadly perversion.
