Has anyone ever done a target study contrasting a 2 inch or even 1 inch barrel .38 special with laser vs. 4-6” barrel with no laser? My understanding of the reason for the longer barrel is higher accuracy. If that is accomplished with a simple laser, it is a much lighter & smaller carry.

Guy in the gun store told me his whole family carries. Said only his wife has ever had to draw. Was being hassled late at night by a couple of drunks. She lit up one with the laser and his partner pissed his pants when he saw the dot.

Said they cleared out like pups with their tails on fire. She however had to sit in the car for an hour to calm down before she could drive.

Oh, and a good piece of advice from him also. Don't holster your gun after an incident till you calm down. Just set it on the dash. You can't think straight with adrenalin for blood.
