Get a grip. When you start considering Bruce Bartlett a fringe left-wing whackjob you should immediately stop, take a few breaths and try to come to your senses. You guys have moved so far to the Right that you now think a Center Right president is the second coming of Lenin/Marx.

I don't care what he did in the past. His own words in the article say he is a Keynesian.

I don't consider that conservative.

Not anymore, he ain't. He sold his soul to be able to go to the cool parties with the cool kids. Anybody who is "joined at the hip with Paul Krugman", the very devil of reckless government print-and-spend, cannot possibly be any kind of conservative.

Nobody said he was a “fringe left-wing whackjob”, just that he isn’t conservative. He says as much himself in this very article, when he calls himself “center right”.
