We are getting close to a full moon, and it's pretty bright out there, if your eyes are adjusted.

Except for the fact that it's unlawful... I could see the practicality of a night hunt without a spotlight.

There's a reason for the historical phrase "Hunter's Moon".

Well, I think the issue here revolves more about treaty rights. But I think a night hunt would be interesting. If safety is an issue, perhaps try it with bow.

Its pretty bright here tonight but I don’t trust my eyes in the dark the way I used too. We used to run through the woods chasing coonhounds without lights but these days I wouldn’t do it with a light.

The Comanche moon, and Apache moon. That’s when they went out on night war raids because it was so light.

My dad spot light hunted 60 years ago. It was illegal then too but a great way to help feed 7 children.
