The shotgun wedding is a bad idea. Irresponsibility followed by coercion is not a good basis for a marriage.
I believe that it should be impossible for any woman to get a penny out of any man who impregnates her unless the two were already married at the time of conception.
Why? The pregnancy is caused by both people and the child should not be punished.
Personal responsibility is not just for women.
