Contrary to popular belief, the goal in Vietnam and Afghan were not the destruction of the Vietnamese or Muslim Afghanistans, but if some totalitarian regime arises off the blessings of a perverted Supreme Court, then no quater will be given and the strategy of COIN would not be implemented by those who seek to destroy liberty minded individuals. It will be Waco every hour on the hour.

No quarter goes both ways. There are more of us than them. The US military just isn't large enough to do much, unless they want to nuke fly-over country. There's a price to pay for that, as well.

I'll keep my faith in God, and not fear evil.

“then no quater will be given and the strategy of COIN would not be implemented by those who seek to destroy liberty minded individuals. It will be Waco every hour on the hour.”

No way, impossible for them to do.
A Waco every hour is “unsustainable” by any measure.
Texas has nearly the population of Iraq, and is 25% Larger. The population is smarter, better educated, and better armed by far. The US military was nearly bled white in Iraq. And they were not fighting on their own people, and on their own logistical tail. When they fought in Iraq, America was a place you could exhale and refit.

Also, the US military is 10% Texans.

And in your scenario where the military is blowing through the red states like the Nazis in Russia, in a war of total destruction, the world economy will be pushing for it to stop.
The economy of Texas is one of the largest and most rapidly growing economies in the United States. As of 2011, Texas is home to six of the top 50 companies on the Fortune 500 list and 51 overall, (third most after New York and California). As the largest exporter of goods in the United States, Texas currently grosses more than $100 billion a year in trade with other nations.

In 2011,Texas had a gross state product of $1.332 trillion, the second highest in the U.S.
The synergistic effect alone of a total war on JUST Texas would devastate the US economy. F-35 factory? American Airlines? BNSF? etc,, gone.

Yessiree, a war of total destruction sure would be interesting. And you didnt say anything about just Texas. Against all the red states, impossible and unwinnable. It would be COIN or nothing.
