The Russians Are Coming IS the funniest EVER. It is twice as funny if you happen to know Russian (which I was raised with). Arkin’s Russian accent is impeccable and adds to the non-stop humour. You had to grow up during the cold war to really appreciate the high strung tension between Americans and the Russians that unintentionally invade Glaugh-Chester Island.
If you recall, the first release of the movie DID NOT have subtitles. You had to just understand what was going on from the superb acting for the first part of the film.
