That is probably the best explanation I've read about the timing of the birth of Jesus. It will make for a very interesting discussion in Sunday school next week! My students are used to my bringing up Jewish holidays to support theories about the End Times, I'm sure they will love this.

I have only one question. When you say Sukkot is when YHvH took on a temporary garment, it sounds as if you believe that Jesus discarded that temporary garment after the resurection. But Mark 16, Luke 24 and Acts 1 say the disciples saw Him, bodily, ascending to heaven. I personally believe that He has a glorified body. How does that fit with the image of the sukkah?

I love learning more about my Savior, but I also have a couple of Jewish friends and I hope all of this will help me one day to witness to them. Thanks for a very interesting post.

When we are born is it a
temporary body(garment) ?

When we are raised from the dead
will it be with our temporary body ?
