The signers of the declaration of Independence were, in fact, asking to be removed as a citizen of Great Britain. Not sure why you are “glad” they didn’t have “my attitude”.
Maybe you misunderstood “remove as a citizen” to mean “physically remove from your state”. That would be silly — if your state seceded from the union, the state would be “removed” already, and the United States would have no reason to then come and remove you from the state.
But what they certainly WOULD do is remove your from the United States — you would no longer be a citizen. You would no longer be considered a member of the country.
If you sign a poll that requests that your state be removed from the union, you are probably asking to be removed from the union, although I guess technically your plan could be to move to a state that is NOT seceding.
If you want to remain a citizen of the United States, you would not sign a petition asking to have your state removed. And if you do, you should expect that government agencies trying to decide loyalty for purposes of security clearances to take that into account negatively.
I made the decision to sign, as a protest to an out of control lawless government. The petition to remove signers from the country is nonsense. The only provision for the deportation of a citizen involves treason, signing a petition does not fall into that category. I am a Citizen of the State of Arizona, not the United States. If you don't like what I have done, find a way to deal with it, I'll not respond to you again.
