The same Montana that keeps electing Democrat Senators?
Check out Boise on WIKI.
Make sure there’s jobs... dental floss tycoon is already taken.
Idaho has the best homeschooling legal environment in the nation, at least for now. It’s a very outdoorsy state, too.
Moved to Boise from Chicago. What line of work are you in? Not a lot of high paying jobs here. So you would have to consider that.
Northern Idaho is beautiful.
Movin’ to Montana soon
Gonna be a dental floss tycoon
(Yes I am)
There is no place in the nation to escape tyranny now.

East Tennessee...great climate for gardening...and you will need food. I agree with other posters, though...there really is no place to go.
Did anyone report news on Rush Limbaugh announcing he was moving to Costa Rica? My husband texted me from overseas and said he heard this and that I had to read his statement. I came right on here thinking I’d see it but I don’t see anything anywhere about it. LOL Now he’s sleeping and I can’t ask where he heard this...maybe it was from when he threatened to move to Costa Rica in 2010?
take a jacket. I live on Maui so dont need one.
Some years ago I spent time researching about where I would like to live if I could just get up and go, the number one place I came up with for many different reasons was, Kentucky.
I live in the Spokane area. Whatever you do stay west of the Rockies. The snow blows off the mountains and keeps going until it hits the great lakes.
Idaho is great but they have income tax. Eastern Washington is good, no income tax, but high property tax and they tax the hell out of everything else. If you live close to the ID border you can avoid the state income tax and cross the border and avoid the stupid retail taxes. Everybody I know does.
Ping.
Dallas Tx or Bakken shale area of North Dakota
I live in Shelley, Idaho. Just outside of Idaho Falls, on the southeast side of the state. Snake river half a mile away. 3000 + - pop. I’m from Idaho and like it. Good rock collecting. Good fishing. Good hunting. GOOD NEIGHBORS. And yeah, most of them are Mormons. But the thing is, is you are a product of your environment. Good air, good outdoor recreation, good neighbors. And this state be red.
Too cold up there. Come to Arizona. Yuma is awesome in the winter.
Might want to look in the Roanoke, VA suburbs. Beautiful country, nice climate, very conservative, lots of outdoor activities, some arts and sciences in Roanoke, but only a few hours from D.C., Richmond, and Charlotte for all the arts and sciences you could want. Housing and cost of living are reasonable.
Decent job opportunities - not booming, but not depressed either.
