It ain’t about amnesty. It’s about free crap and progressive tax charts.

I’ve often thought the same thing. TV at least seems uniformly Dem, just like in english. I’m not aware of any spanish language equivalent to Rush or Levin (or Buckley if you’re as old as I am).

Since we have Rush, its hard for people to remember how it was before he existed. There was no one in the major media who reflected your heartfelt principles or your gut instincts about things; it was almost an orwellian world and easy to wonder if you were yourself the crazy one. Then Rush spoke up and people heard their own thoughts in his mouth. Amazing.

Great idea, imo.

Any organization that won't even entertain an idea like this isn't interested in solving the problem humanely.

I think they have just been conditioned to believe that Republicans hate them and will never vote for us in a million years.

That is why I think we should formally disband the Republican Party and all become Democrats and fight them from within.

That way, if everyone belongs to one party, candidates will once again compete on the merits of our ideas and not just on the letter behind our name.

Lets run (and vote) in the primaries. If we lose there, lets rally behind whatever third party candidate is running, but lets definitely abandon the Republican Party. Too many voters have been trained to hate us, and I don’t see that ever changing in the future.

Tell me where I’m wrong.

Amnesty is what got us in the shape we are in.

Nothing like that will work.

When America becomes as bad or worse than the s&^% hole they left, then they will search around for alternatives.

That goes for other citizens as well. When the US becomes like the place that their grandparents, the spoiled and lazy grandchidren will try to find an alternative too.

I am not really optimistic. People will be a long time reaching the saturation point on freebies! Immature people NEVER reach that point

Amnesty is nothing more than lowering the standard, the mess we have now is a result of lowering the bar.
Lazy moochers always take the shortest route.
Only the legal ones will be conservative because they understand what it takes to be free.

I’d rather just educate them about the pride that comes from fighting for their own country instead of running to another because its easy.

Q: Why do most illegal immigrants come to America?
A: Free stuff from Obama’s stash.

The problem isn’t immigration or amnesty. The problem is socialism and dependency.

Good, constructive suggestions.

One of the more reasonable contributors over at NRO this week suggested similarly that instead of big donors pouring hundreds of millions into ads each election cycle that they invest in media organs.

The usual suggestion is to create conservative ones. But I’d rather see them buy or compete with the so-called mainstream ones—and just infuse them with conservative staff and perspectives. Same goes for all level of cultural contributions: movie studios, literary publishing, etc..

Also, I think we need to look at a serious alternative to public education indoctrination. Could it be trying to come up with superior online social studies, literature, and other such classes that conservative legislatures could force their states to support as alternatives that students could choose over the usual leftist drivel?

While we’re at it, why not similar traditional math and phonics reading options as well? A more broadly well-educated populace is still important.

Same could be done for college humanities classes at state schools. How many students wouldn’t rather fulfill those requirements through something online that could be done on their own schedule, rather than by schlepping into some liberal professor’s domain two or three times a week?

This latter approach (and even the same at the secondary education level) could lead to both greater learning and more cost-effective public school spending.

The strategy would be three-pronged:

1) to buy out and beat out the for-profit entertainment and culture industries,

2) to starve and beat out the educational establishment, and

3) as should really go without saying, of course cut off taxpayer spending on public radio, public television, and inevitably leftist-leaning arts funding.

We’ve got to both drain the swamp and replace it with a healthier ecosystem.

I think it’s a good idea and one I haven’t thought of.

We need to start reaching people in different ways. This requires us to think differently to come up with ways to get the right message out to others. Different people from different cultures have to be reached out to in different ways. And no, I’m not saying to pander to groups in giving out things. Even “white” people on FR have different ways and cultural differences.

Don’t let the posters here at FR who think that Fox News and Rush aren’t pure enough for them tell you that you are crazy or stupid.

Remember Weekly Reader? Well, now it’s called Scholastic News. It has a liberal slant, and it’s being read each week by our students. I want a conservative magazine for students. Wish I had the money to start one.

Rush has the idea: amnesty without voting rights. Stay if you’re here, but don’t vote for 25 years. Everything the Dems say they want, but not the one thing that the Dems actually want.

The Hispanics will learn in a hurry. THAT is education for you!!
