Very soothing song. Thanks. My day just crashed. The 5th grader I tutor has mislead me (lied?) about the due date of his SS project. We would have had it done last night, but he insisted he had to do it in school. I was skeptical...he had early dismissal and guess what? It WAS due today. I am going with his mother to his parent teacher conference in a few mintutes. I am not expecting it to go well. (sigh) I think his mother will cry. He will be punished. All preventable. I am getting discouraged.
Some boys really need extra help staying organized. Most of the ones I know have had that problem. I hope she doesn’t cry. That doesn’t solve anything. He needs consequences for this, which will be the failure, not the end of the world for a 5th grader, and an organizer to prevent it from happening again.
