If youre a conservative, this story could be too painful for you to read. I suggest you click away now.
For those who have stayed, below are pictures of Mitt Romneys transition website that would have gone live had he been elected president on Tuesday. So how are you seeing it today? Well, the site accidentally went live for a brief moment on Wednesday, and because this is the internet, someone was able to grab screenshots before it was taken down.
That someone is Roll Calls Taegan Goddard. Below are the pictures he nabbed, which has a statement from President-Elect Romney and even inauguration day:
Im excited about our prospects as a nation. My priority is putting people back to work in America, the quote from Romney says on the first page.
Its a priority hell have to now pursue outside the Oval Office.
Agree with all the sentiment here. We saw that the EV was way down from 2008, which told us this election was very winnable. Where the hell were the missing few million?
Although we don’t get an actual paper copy, we are able to see (through a plastic window) the printed results of our choices. Mine were accurate. But then again, I live in Utah. ;-)
I’m really getting tired of it, election after election. Pretty soon, I’m going to be fed up and when I am, I’m going to start voting for every tax increase, every gun grabbing law out there. I ain’t there yet, but I’m getting fed up.
Where do you live?
In a small town, in Mississippi.
“It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.” (Josef Stalin)- I’m sure Hussein 0bama is well aware of this and has taken step to ensure Romney, under no circumstances, finishes ahead.
Wasn’t there something about a foreign firm being hired to count the votes?
Something is just not right. Normally I can bop in, vote, and be out in five minutes. This time I waited in line for an hour and a half. One of the poll workers told me the line was wrapped around the building half an hour before they opened at 6 a.m., and there was no let-up nor break all day. And I’m supposed to believe more people turned out for McCain??
I've been wondering the same thing. Since he (Mitt) conceded, would it matter?
This website "leak" is so sad. I'm like others, I wake up through out the night thinking it's all a terrible nightmare....and it is =(
I hadn’t heard about a foreign firm counting the votes, though it could be the case, but the UN was suppose to monitor the election. I ‘d heard at least two states threatened them with arrest. The UN Observer scenario has the stench of 0bama all over it.
I agree with you...something is not right.
How can massive turn outs in DC over 0Care, the 2010 elections, the Chic Fil A Day and the longer than any in recent history voting lines (by non-0phone people) suddenly diminish for THE most important election of our lifetime?
I don’t think concession is legally binding. At least it didn’t stop algore in 2000. He conceded, withdrew it and then proceeded to try to steal the election.
A “friend” on Facebook is making a big deal of this tonight, saying that it shows how arrogant Romney is. Really? What a pathetic joke.
I gotta believe something is just wrong, as has been for the past 4-6 years, everything that should be up is down and vice versa.
The Repubs should be hitting the ground running on voter ID, starting now. I don’t care if the doj et al fight it over and over, there is no way this ugly lying game will end until we have an honest election.
How do We the People demand a recount of the battleground states, since it looks like the RNC/Romney campaign isn’t? Or, are we just SOL?
Realistically, I would guess SOL . Perhaps a citizen of the state involved might be able to do so, but I think in most cases if a recount is done, it has to be paid for and it’s probably not cheap. I can’t believe with the mounting evidence, the GOP wouldn’t be interested. If electronic voting machines are involved and they switched votes, then I’m not sure how they could trace/recount.
Yes, Spain-—that was it. Thank you.
I’m just not at peace with this whole thing and I don’t know that I will be. Apparently Obama got 99% of the vote in districts where Republican poll watchers were tossed out. It was like that in Venezuela, too.
Well, if he was arrogant, so were all the other countless pollsters, pundits, talking heads, etc., who said he was going to win.
He just believed it was going to happen. It’s hard to see how it could have gone so wrong.
I agree with you, but I keep telling myself that "everything happens for a reason" and if we really believe "In GOD We Trust", then maybe it's part of a larger plan. Doesn't really soothe me much but what else can I do?
You are right, of course.
