We flew on a beautiful DC-3 Air Liberdad airplane from Huatulco to Oaxaca. Two pilots in blue Nomex jump suits jogged out to the plane and fired up. The engines remained at the same pitch on take off and cruise. When Oaxaca came into view, the pilots cut the engines and we drifted in, coming to a stop right at the terminal.
I think we were doing about 90 mph between the mountain peaks. I think I could have yelled down to some folks on the highway below.
Oaxaca Airport terminal had a thatched roof and onyx floor.
