That post was kind of funny.
Kind of like the ad I hear for the a magazine of "How To Live Off The Grid" and it gets mailed directly to your house.

You mean someone else’s wifi? Public wifi? Have to have internet access in some form. And THAT is going to be the biggest tracking method of them off.

#3 and #9 seem to conflict with #12.

I know a gent who was trapped in his attic during the breaching of the dikes in Walkeren in WWII. All he had were tulip bulbs set aside because of their great emergency value.
He sold tulips for diamonds. Gold was useless since the Germans were always looking for it. Hard to hide.
Firewood is probably worth something in urban areas after Obama shuts down electricity.

Thank you my fellow American! This is suppose to be a “conservative” blog site. Yes, all I see being posted is: “how stupid, ignorant, and hayseed can you get!”
These so called “conservatives” are only conservatives when it is convenient to them. they forget about “rugged individualism” that made this Country into the most powerful on the face of this earth!
When the SHTF who do you think these so called conservatives will turn to for help, the liberal socialist, or the rugged individual American who has prepared for this kind of scenario?
Guess what i will be telling them?

Uh, you’re a raving nutter, no two ways around it. As for the IRS and savings accounts, they already have the numbers. It’s on the 1099-int form that you use to declare the interest you’ve earned.

You forgot to engage your brain before opening your mouth as well!
Think of this as a big joke and laugh at your own peril! Go back to living off the government and I will stay to myself with my land mines, armored vehicles and automatic rifles and we will see who survives this coming disaster!

13. Get involved more heavily with local Tea Party to establish a third party, no more money to the GOP under any circumstance!
Right on - I have been arguing this for 3-4 years now. The GOP is as useless as ________(fill in the blank).

True. Market value here is about $75K (500 cords "hardwood"), however the wood has to be seasoned, stacked and protected or else it becomes useless for burning. Five Hundred Cord stacks spaced properly with ventilation and tarp covers would take up about .65 acres. Add in road access for a pickup truck and it is probably more like an acre for storage. It is possible, but I still believe it is a bit of a typo.
I built a nice A frame for wood storage adjacent to my barn. Bolted together with post ups, because of municipal rules related to permanent versus temp structures. I have six chords stored in there. It takes a great deal of work and space just to maintain a small woodlot.
Just saying. A good cash business, but a hard one on the margins.

I just did quick price check. That’s also about $150,000 worth of firewood. We know he didn’t do it himself because the man hours would be off the charts.

500 face cord is NOT a typo! And, by the way, you stated: “. . . because of municipal rules related to permanent versus temp structures . . .” You sure wouldn’t want to violate government zoning controls by actually storing a proper amount of firewood you may or may not need!
This is exactly my point, only conservative when it is cconvienent. Zoning is nothing more than a government wet-dream established by socialist to control private property. Instead of fighting it, yoiu sucumed to it and now believe it to be the norm!
Get me the hell out of this upside down world where private pproperty rights are bad and government zoning control is viewed as a necessary evil that you are willing to live with for the good of the many!
