They divide people into groups and treat them as "sub-Americans" pitting them against their opposition. All the Democrats will do is get their "official" Latinos such as La Raza to disqualify anything the Republicans do as far as outreach. This is a non starter. 2. Everyone from the local news to Hollywood can be used by liberals to create a narrative. Anything that the Republicans try to do to counter will simply be ignored by the media. See Benghazi. 3. They just believe that they can be idealistic and speak to a low-information public in a rational and logical matter...like adults. The Democrats have it right. People are distracted and stupid...that's the reality. Gay, straight, black or white, they're uninformed and distracted. Complicated issues can be demagogued to death by the opposition. So these people need to be talked to like children with catch-phrases, jokes and sound-bites. Hey, even Jesus had to dumb-down complicated ideas for his listeners. Republicans need to drop the idealism and become realists. Run on things that appeal to most people. Look at the exit polls. The majority of Americans agreed with Mitt Romney's views. He was just a horrible spokesman for conservatism because he wasn't a conservative. He was an actor pretending to be a conservative and people didn't buy it. Think about Latinos and blacks. Faith, values and hard work are cornerstones of these cultures--especially Latinos. These people don't support gay marriage and they don't have antipathy towards religion in general. But they vote Democrat. That doesn't make sense. It's all about how you frame the message.
