Since my taxable non-SS income is more than the government thinks I deserve, part of my SS retirement benefits are also taxed.

Isn't that also tied to your "full retirement age?" Don't really know - just asking.

Taking SS retirement benefits before “full retirement age” results in a decrease in benefits received.
