Whining is always unattractive and almost always unnecessary.

America has sustained a total and unmitigated defeat.
We are in for a very bad patch.

Obituary? Unlike Private Pyle, I don't quit. Temporary setback. Stop whining. Call your reps and tell them not to give Obama anything. Then get active - and I don't mean by just being a computer warrior, and do what needs to be done for 2014.

America isn't dead, but to quote from Young Guns "Charley! If you don't stand up and start whooping some ass, you're never going to see her again".

It's time for those not active in politics to get active, year round, with the local parties and do what needs to be done NOW to take this country back in 2014 and 2016.

I feel like I just came home and found my neighbors have burned my house down with my family in it.

God has forsaken us and we are deserving of His wrath.

We should each and every one of us be on our knees begging his forgiveness.

May Christ have mercy on us.

I got an email sent to a group of conservative friends, and I responded to all of them with the following:
************************************************************

This is not a ray of sunshine here. This is a bleak outlook. I haven’t got it in me to personally vilify that man and his ilk any more than they already have been in some corners, and not near the degree they deserve.

I wasn’t convinced Romney was a great choice. I wasn’t convinced Romney could turn things around, but at least I thought he might buy some time, that he wouldn’t grease the skids. I thought there was a small chance he could buy enough time. Maybe.

The huge problem our country faces isn’t that Obama was elected to a second term. The problem is that there were that many people populating the electorate who saw him as a good and viable option for another four years.

That cannot be corrected. And it won’t be. The “tipping point” conservatives have talked about for years has already come and gone, and this election is simply the coming out party for it.

Once enough of those people who voted for Obama understand what the real issue is and how it should have been approached, it will be far too late. We aren’t climbing out of this hole. We are heading towards the bottom at full speed now. I think the die is cast. Our country will be completely transformed in four more years.

Four more years of full bore public school and college indoctrination of young people by an administration and ideology bent on it.

Four more years of unparalleled government expansion.

Four more years of entrenchment by the government in the takeover of healthcare.

Four more years of pro-union arm twisting and legislation.

Four more years of progressing full bore PAST the tipping point to a LARGE majority of people who aren’t contributing, but are taking from others.

Four more years of destruction of our already crippled industrial base.

Four more years of stagnation, legislative obstruction, deliberate enfeebling and demonization of the American energy sector.

Four more years of dismantling, disemboweling and castration of the military.

Four more years of a corrosion to and destruction of any semblance of foreign policy that has America ’s interests at heart.

Four more years of destruction and complete disregard of the Constitution.

The way I see it, our country is dead now. All we can do is watch its body rot before our eyes and prepare for third world status. Prepare to see our Constitution changed. Prepare to see the Electoral College done away with, replaced by the popular vote.

If you have children, pray for their future and plan for yours accordingly.

Here’s my take.

I was just dumbfounded. I could not believe that even 20% of the citizenry could be smitten by this guy. But I prayed about it and a funny thing happened.

I’m completely at peace about it. It is as if the emotional response has been completely severed and all that is left is an intellectual realization that things are going to change in a very, very bad way and very soon. And that’s ok.

Life is a mist. We were never told it would be easy. And eternity is what matters.

This is gonna get really ugly, and it will be world wide. That fate was pretty sure no matter who won. Last night the fate was sealed. Keep the full armor of God and remember where your real home is. The Matrix is about to implode.

Bad election? Agreed (except that the GOP retains control of the House). Tough road ahead? Absolutely.

But America dead? Hardly. These situations always seem desperate at first blush, but we will work through this.

Over? Did you say over? Nothing’s over until we decide it is [insert remainder of Bluto’s Animal House speech here]

I hope that statements about sobbing are just hyperbole, I really do. Conservatives must tighten the message. I remain convinced that, at least for now, most Americans, if they understood conservatism, and were honest with themselves, would embrace it.
