Then maybe we have to fight back for them. Seriously, I have very dear friends who are libertarians, but I can't convince them that they are throwing their votes away. When was the last time a third party candidate won the presidency? Lincoln?
We have to accept that we our only viable alternative at this time is to get a strong voice in the GOP. We have to start at a local level and get conservative candidates in office. But more than the tea party, we have to reach out and get those from the other side to buy in to our ideas for America. We have to convince them that what is good for us is good for them too. We have to share the concepts of hard work, sacrifice, self-reliance, and eventual reward with people to whom those ideals are foreign concepts. We have to find a way to show them that government reliance is enslaving them and that free handouts come at a heavy price. The price is their children's lives, but the media and the democrat party won't admit it.
agree 1000%....
after the midterms of 2010 when everyone was feeling good Amy Kremer of the Tea Party sent out an email asking what should we do next- i responded we “must vet the media”...we “must treat the media the way they treat us”
i received letter from the local GOP, dated 10/20 talking about who to vote for, etc- the bottom paragraph asked “if you’d like to attend a committee meeting or get involved please email us or call us at xxx-xxx-xxxx” so i called today- the number doesn’t work...
