We can start by not going to Massachusetts for the most liberal republican presidential candidates in history.
“I think Bill Weld comes as close as anyone,” Romney said when asked whom in his party he aligned with.
“I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. Im not trying to return to Reagan-Bush,”
“I’m not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses.”
Yeah, Mitt was not a pure conservative. But we let the Democrats and media paint him as the most radical right wing nut job woman hating candidate ever to walk the face of the earth. And they told everyone that this is what a conservative Republican looks like. This was one of my points— we can’t let our opponents and the media define us, which they did.
