As conservatives we have to teach the non-brain dead portion of the electorate that help reelect Obama tonight to become conservatives. You can’t convince large groups of the electorate that conservative principles are better you have literally turn them into conservatives.

This requires a huge outreach/education/proseletyzing effort.

No way around it, period.

We also have to absolutley destroy the MSM. We all know that without their influence Romney would’ve won tonight.

That is the essence of compassion. Bush did it brilliantly.

Amazing how "compassionate" you can be with other peoples' money.

We won’t convince them to become conservatives, the country collapsing on Obama’s watch just might.

Sarah Palin would have allowed us to win.
She hasn't lost yet while those republicans who were handpicked by the party fell tonight before our eyes.
Place the blame where it deserves to reside and that was NOT on Sarah Palin.
So take another hit off your bong and go to bed.

Why place the blame on Palin? The blame should be placed on the GOP elite. They foisted the squishiest moderate on us, and he lost. It seems we can conclude squishy moderates can’t win. We’ve tried it the last two elections. It could be we’ve reached the point where the takers outnumber the makers, and that no Republican could have won. I would have rather have given it a go with a genuinely conservative, passionate fighter like Sarah Palin. She can identify with the middle class, fought corruption and crony capitalism, and respects life.

When a man is in a cult, and is in the process of becoming a God, you cannot, with a straight face, call his money given to the cult, merely ‘donating to charities’.

My apologies.

It is late here on the east coast and I made a mistake.

I got the 30 part right, but it was 30% of his income, not 30 million.

So it was only a lousy four million.

I guess indiana light weight can fault that he was so unfeeling.

Without the MSM, Romney wouldn’t have been the nomony of the Republican Party.

It takes a true believer in conservationism to pull off what you are talking about. I would love to see it, but Romney had zero chance of doing this.

A lot of us don’t consider the money given to the cults by Hare Krishnas, Mormons, and Scientologists, as “charity”.

You are exactly right. Militant conservatism...guerrilla, even...is the only shot we have left. No more trying to slow down the decline; we must reverse course dramatically.

Why do you not think conservatism isn’t inherently compassionate?

Palin picked Akins opponent. Akin was a Huckabee guy. Palin also endorsed mccan over jd Hayworth. She’s backed mostly winners.

Mourdock was a great pick btw. He just made a stupid mistake. After akin, he should have been fully prepared to say nothing when asked. He is already an statewide elected official as state treasurer. He was tested. . That should have been a no brainer.

My criteria. Pick strng conservatives that have great communication skills, like able demeanor, and excellent campaign discipline.

We are going to win some and lose some. We ran party retreads in Virginia Florida and wisconin and lost those two , btw. Selective analysis doesn’t do us any good.

So the Republicans need to be more like the Democrats. That’s the ticket. /sarc
