That's it basically...there are now a lot more takers than producers. Forty years ago McGovern got stomped running on the same things Obama runs on. Today a president with a truly, horrible record gets re-elected. Things do look bleak for the future. Time to think about a split.

It is hard to understand why America would so enthusiastically embrace a total failure of a President. I don’t think any of us expected the D turnout to be as great as it was, but the people have spoken.
The country is in for tough times. I am proud to be fighting shoulder to shoulder with you in the battle.
We will survive and prosper despite the hateful little man in the White House.
Ironically, the people who knew that Romney didn’t have the stones to win were flamed for speaking the truth.
I too think we have lost our country but I am hoping that we conservatives will fight like hell to the very end to make them struggle to destroy it further. WE MUST GET ACTIVE NOW!!!!

I thought the Tea Party/John Galt crowd was the upcoming wave, but now it looks like they were a flash in the pan.
How on Earth can the GOP run a successful campaign once things have changed this deeply?
Here in Oregon we used to elect Republicans now there is no chance in Hell that another Pubbie will ever hold statewide office, I think the same can be said for the nation as a whole, unless we have a total collapse, which probably won’t happen.
We’ll just become another Greece or France...

I had seen your earlier posts and observed [what I thought to be at the time] your “irrational exuberance”... :)
But I’m not going to flame you. You made the same mistake as many MANY other members of this forum.
As conservatives, we like to think of ourselves as wiser than the left, but all too often we embrace precepts that are as irrational as theirs, and miss what’s in front of our own eyes.
So, in the spirit of consolation, I’d like to offer you what has become the core of my own personal conservatism:
“Reality is what it is. It is not what we believe it to be.”
Just some words. Maybe don’t mean nuthin’.
But I told you that to tell you this:
Very early in my career as a railroad locomotive engineer, the old timers would tell me something:
“Kid, you got to run the train. You can’t let the train run you....”
Again, just seemed like a play on words — didn’t mean nuthin’.
It took me YEARS and YEARS to realize what they were talking about. Now I know.
So go forth, learn this word-for-word, and every so once in a while, just repeat it to yourself:
“Reality is what it is. It is not what we believe it to be.”

What’s the use? It’s clear that the cradle-to-grave nanny-staters comprise the majority of the American electorate now. Obama and his minions have snuffed the last light of liberty and the dark pall of tyranny is settling over the land.
The system doesn’t work anymore for the people who work and never will.
It’s all rigged to favor the leeches and takers. When you hear these people talk about business owners they don’t see what they do as a noble endeavor and an expression of freedom: they see business as the “blood bank” for all the lazy-ass bloodsuckers in this nation who believe everyone else owes them a living.
The people who voted for Obama are parasites and parasites do only one thing well: kill the host organism on which they feed. That is the legacy of the Democrat party and this is the nation of bloodsuckers with which their very actions have saddled us.

Time for all the red states in the middle of the country to band together and secede. Make Texas the capitol of a new conservative republic. It’s probably the only way to go now.
Republicans failed to admit and account for voter fraud. Illegals turned out for Obama, big time. Also we had machines changing votes from Romney to Obama in battleground states and dems. in voting multiple times and openly braging about it in social media. We had communists kicking Republican voting observers out in Penn. so they could cheat. What we saw was just the tip of the iceberg.
The GOP likes to pretend voter fraud does not matter just like they pretend liberal racism and public school and university brainwashing does not matter. It’s a huge factor in the communist power structure. The GOP never acknowledged it, challenged it and therefore has not accounted for it.
Lou Barletta, (R-PA 11) lets make him OUR Obama and I know where he was born, right in my hometown and he does know how to play baseball.
The ‘use’ is that I want to live my life with some modicum og grace and dignity. If you give up now then you have surrendered to evil in all its forms.
The Russians have a history of being a slave class. They are willing to just go along with whatever tyrant leads them. I choose NOT to live that way. I will not wear the black crepe of my country on myself. I am a proud American. Only 30% of the folks in 1776 were in favor of leaving the largesse of the king. Thank God that our founders had nerves of steel and were willing to stand tall and do the hard work. Can we now do any less?
If you give up and quit trying then two things are true....1)you have given the left exactly what they wanted. They believe that if you keep at it long enough the conservatives will grow tired and give up. 2) you are no better than the parasites you complain about
