Think of your server as self-employed. You have the chance to pay them what you think they earn. It is the ultimate free-market capitalist system. If the restaurant includes the “tip” in the bill, you don’t have a say - you pay for lousy service just like you pay for excellent service...and what do you think will happen to the overall standard of service?
It is actually the occutard mentality that says, “include the tip in the bill and pay the server the same, regardless of the service they provide”.
Then lets do the same for the chow and see what happens.
What a load of cap.
Its why I avoid urban areas and their restaurants. Full of self righteous arrogant liberals.
