"Sometimes," author William S. Burroughs once said, "paranoia is just having all the facts." Given the facts gathered from the past few natural and man-made disasters, it's not a surprise that many people have begun to think of what they'd need to survive the next calamity. One California man has taken a kitchen-sink approach and created the Survivor Truck -- a machine that could keep rolling through any given Armageddon.

Nothing could beat the "vehicle" in the Logan's Run TV show!
It drove itself so you could pay more attention to Heather Manziess (spelling?).

Looks like a Pacer and a Monza mated.

Why is there a picture of John Kerry next to it? Did he come from the future?

Even worse (better?) ... like two same sex Pacers or Monzas attempted to mate.

Of course, it also comes with this useful accessory, helpful when the world is almost completely empty of people!

In fact, the character's name is [John] Francis-7 [Kerry]. A likely descendant, still doing Planned Parenthood's bidding trying to hunt down the Sandman who ran from euthanization.

You will be stuck at the first intersection until you die because you cannot see the overhead traffic light change.

Commander Cody even has a song about it:
Truck stop at the end of the World;

“My buddy beside me turned red white and blue
Saluted the flag as he faded from view
And went nuclear fishin at the end of the world”

Good o’l C70. I would have started with a C70 with a Detroit Diesel 4-53T
With a hand pump hydraulic starter, no electric needed on the engine.
Then add a 300 amp, PTO driven alternator for battery charging and the
AC inverter.
Just a thought.

We used to see the European version of this coming through Kenya all the time. The Germans & the Dutch were big on outfitting a truck or a Unimog to “drive across Africa”.
Just to put thinks in perspective, I once knew an American missionary in Sudan. He had driven a VW bus (Kombi) from Durban, South Africa to the Sudd in southern Sudan. I met him in 1981 and believe that he had made the drive at least 10 years prior.

First, you gotta start with something that's tough. This is tough....
The Dodge WC-52, later known as the Power Wagon. Dad had one for a beach buggy. Literally used as a stump puller. Would go almost anywhere, just not fast.
