I don’t get it either. It’s a funny story and it shows Romney is having fun and dealing with all the pressures with a full heart and clear eyes. Or at least a light heart. Not a darn thing wrong with Mitt or Carl doing what they did. Some of US need to lighten up, same as Romney.

During the McCain Palin run, the night before the election, Mitt Romney came to Mechanicsburg, PA to thank us for our work. He told us a story about going to the Beijing Olympics. He was at the swimming events and noticed people kept pointing to him and smiling and waving. He was bemused and said somemthing to Ann, then waved back and smiled. The smiling and waving continued. He looked behind him and a few rows up was Kobe Bryant..which is who people were REALLY waving to. I immediately liked Mitt, because it showed he was self deprecating.
